Your tasks

Drooms is looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (f/m/d) – fixed-term contract (parental leave cover).

 

The QA Automation Engineer is a crucial member of our quality assurance team, dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

This role involves active participation in test planning, test execution, and defect reporting while collaborating closely with development and product teams. The QA Automation Engineer contributes to maintaining high-quality software and is instrumental in supporting the team's testing efforts.

  • Define test strategies, plans, and test cases based on product requirements and user stories
  • Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing throughout the development cycle
  • Develop and maintain automated E2E and API tests using Playwright, Cypress, TypeScript, and Cucumber/Gherkin
  • Leverage AI tools practically and responsibly, applying critical thinking to uphold quality, maintainability, and security standards
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality assurance
  • Identify, document, and track defects in Jira and investigate issues reported via JSM
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to drive timely defect resolution and shared quality goals
  • Communicate testing outcomes, risks, and recommendations to support continuous improvement of QA processes
Your Profile
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record of testing web applications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing automation tests independently
  • Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools, such as Jira and Xray
  • Strong analytical skills to identify defects and contribute to their resolution
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and document test results
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
